We had 20 Optimists & guests today. Joy Schewe from Fennimore’s club was our guest. The Mystery Greeter was Charlie Clark who greeted Hap Daus. Ernie Thalmann, Maxine Lane, Charlie Clark, Gary Engelke, Howard Crofoot, Hap Daus, Joy Schewe, Tom Nall and Ken Kamps wore their Optimist shirts today.

JOKER DRAW

Ken Kamps was selected. He drew the 9 of Clubs and won $2. The pot started all over last week with a minimum $100 pot. Good Luck to next week’s winner.

BOARD MEETING

The next Board Meeting will be on Thursday, September 9th at 7 AM at Badger Brothers. Current and next year’s Board Members are encouraged to attend. The first Board Meeting for the new Board will be September 29. Jerry wants to hold the meetings the Wed before the First Friday.

CHEESE CURDS

It is that time again! Sign up for Dairy Days September 10 – 12. Gary & Eileen Engelke will be helping the Fennimore club with curds at the Potosi Brewfest tomorrow.

Grant Co Fair – We grossed a little under $10,800. A reasonable amount, but about $1000 less than last year. We ran out of curds around 4 PM on Sunday. Everything is looking good for Dairy Days. Does anyone know where the banner that goes on the front of the table ended up?

GREAT PLAINS PARALLEL DISTRICT CONFERENCE

There will be a combined District Conference with all the Districts of the Great Plains Region Nov 5 – 7 near the Mall of America. It will be a nice getaway and way to meet and learn from other Optimists in the Great Plains Region.

INSTALLATION BANQUET

The Installation Banquet for the 2010 – 2011 officers will be held on October 2, 2010 at Take 2 Restaurant starting at 6:00 p.m. Sign up on line!
