Today’s Special Guest - Santa Claus

Sorry, no photo. Tom had us take a couple tests. The first one was Christmas Trivia – the easy version. The second one was the Medium & Hard version. People won gifts for knowing the correct answer on the tests. There were lots of presents given away. At the end of the test, Tom asked for the high scores. Charlie Clark & Gary Engelke each won a special Gift Certificate to a Meal at take 2 and a Movie pass for getting 15 out of 20 right on the Medium & Hard test. Howard Crofoot and Dave Kieckhafer got consolation prizes for getting 14 of 20.

Santa came in & asked what each of us wanted for Christmas. Holly Cook & John Dutcher thought they were at a Beauty Pageant & asked for World Peace. Beth Frieders & Diana Trendt wanted Santa to give their presents to a deserving family. Charlie Clark wanted to win the Joker Draw. Diane Van Natta asked for health. Dave Kieckhafer asked for a speedy recovery for his boss who is in the hospital. Milt Rewey and John Urness each asked for a new car. Ernie Thalmann asked for a Snicker’s bar. Duane Borgen asked for lower taxes for all. Jerry Schewe wanted Duane to pay his taxes. Howard Crofoot asked for no snow after Christmas. Dave Jones asked for a .500 season for UW-P softball. Virg Pufahl asked for a new deer counting calculator for DNR.

Kevin Hanson asked for a Viking - Packer rematch, while Doug Martin asked for a Packer win in the Superbowl. Arnie Roper asked for Tiger Woods’ address book. Eileen Engelke asked for perfume (hint for Gary!). Gary asked for a winning powerball ticket. Eileen Nickels asked for her husband to finish a project to redo a room in their house. Barb Stockhausen asked for a good end to the year. Maxine Lane asked for a safe travel season for all. President Tom Nall asked that everyone have a Merry Christmas, happy New Year and that it be a good year for his new Granddaughter!

UPCOMING EVENTS

UPCOMING SPEAKERS

January 1 - No Meeting - Happy New Year!

January 8 - TBD

JOKER DRAW

Diane Van Natta was the lucky one selected and drew the 4 of Clubs and won $2. The pot is up to $1,053 with only 12 cards left! Unfortunately, Tom’s prediction of a winner did not happen, but there is excitement for our next meeting on January 8th!

SANTA CALLING

There were a few Old-Timers as well as some rookies. It was a fun time as usual. We served over 90 kids in the 3 nights! Thank you to everyone. We had a little fun on Wednesday with Mrs. Claus pretending to be Santa for one call, then Santa pretending to be Mrs. Claus.

UPDATES

No Meeting on Christmas Day or on New Year’s Day. Our next meeting will be on January 8.

There were funding requests from Badger Boys State and the Orion Group Home. The Board recommended and the club approved donating $80 to Badger Boys State. John Urness said we gave to Orion House already.

The Board decided to have a group review and propose a policy for adding links to our web site after a request by the Boy Scouts. It will go back to the Board in January.

KATHY MURPHY

We passed around a Get Well card for Kathy. She was scheduled for surgery today. Keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

BOARD MEETING

The new board will meet on Thursday, January 14th at 7 AM at Badger Brothers.
